Judeo-Christian Outreach Center
The mission of the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center is to empower homeless families and individuals to recover from crisis situations and return to being self-supporting, productive, and independent members of our community. The Center serves our community by providing a safe place to stay, a hot, wholesome meal, helping those in crisis battling drug or alcohol addition as well as education to help those in need to move forward with their lives. Providence regularly donates food items and helps in meal preparation and serving at the Center.
Faith Works Coalition
Faith Works Coalition was founded in 2008 to improve living conditions in our community by repairing homes for elderly, disabled, disadvantaged and low income working families in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, greater Hampton Roads, and in disaster stricken areas in other states. Providence supports Faith Works Coalition through financial donation, prayer, and volunteers.
Meals on WheelsThe Meals On Wheels Association of America is the oldest and largest national organization composed of and representing local, community-based Senior Nutrition Programs in all 50 U.S. states, as well as the U.S. Territories. These programs provide well over one million meals to seniors who need them each day. Providence volunteers deliver meals for one week, five times each year. Our 2014 dates are January, April, July, October and December.
