Judeo-Christian Outreach Center
The mission of the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center is to empower homeless families and individuals to recover from crisis situations and return to being self-supporting, productive, and independent members of our community. The Center serves our area by providing a safe place to stay, a hot, wholesome meal, and help those who are in need to move forward with their lives. Providence donates both financially and by collecting food for the center. We also have a team who regularly provide food, prepare meals and serve at the Center.
Faith Works Coalition
Faith Works Coalition was founded in 2008 to improve living conditions in our community by repairing homes for elderly, disabled, disadvantaged and low income working families in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, greater Hampton Roads, and in disaster stricken areas in other states. Providence supports Faith Works Coalition through financial donations, prayers, and volunteers.
Meals on Wheels
The Meals on Wheels Association of America is the oldest and largest national organization composed of and representing local, community-based Senior Nutritional Programs in all 50 U.S. States and Territories. These programs provide well over one million meals to seniors each day. Volunteers from Providence deliver meals for one week, five times each year.
St. Mark’s Catholic Church Food Pantry Partnership
The Catholic Church of St. Mark’s on Kempsville Road in Virginia Beach collects and distributes food to individuals requesting assistance. The Providence family partners with St. Mark’s through volunteer hours, generous monetary gifts and non-perishable food items.
Providence opens our Church to the Community for a picnic, children’s activities and games, and a Patriotic Music Program each year around Memorial Day. Our neighbors are invited to join us for all the activities.
