OUTREACH

Service to others is the hallmark of Providence Presbyterian Church.  There are a number of ways we reach out and support our community.

• We are an active member of the Virginia Beach Judeo-Christian Outreach consortium supporting the homeless and hungry through gifts and personal dedication of time and love.

• We maintain a food closet and stand ready to assist those in need.

• We support the community's "Meals on Wheels" program.

• We support our missions and missionaries through monetary donations, moral support and prayers.

• We support the Heifer project, providing livestock to people in developing countries.

• We offer our spacious facilities as a meeting place for the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Civic Leagues, and other non-profit groups.

• We reach out with our music, particularly the  "Bells of Providence" handbell choir, through appearances and demonstrations in the community.

• We tutor in reading skills under the auspices of "Project Light."

Our congregation stands ready to reach out and serve others in word and deed.
